My Groups' Ideas

I met up with my group, Bianca and Michael, on Saturday, February 25. We sat down and discussed ideas for our groups theme, Communication.

Our first idea was showing communication throughout our whole video. We discussed the ways that we all communicate in our modern day. We use phones, cell phones, computers, social networking sites, video chatting, and email. We were thinking of having clips of us demonstrating communication using those tools. For example, we're all going to video chat with each other, and we're going to take screen shots of us in this chat and include them in our video.

Another idea was our letter idea. In these projects each member of the group has to be incorporated in at least a minute in a half of clips. To transition from one person to another, we're going to a use a letter or envelope with the persons name on it that we're transitioning to. We're going to show us passing the letter along to the person thats about to show up in the video. Bianca and Michael had discussed this in the previous class that i was unable to attend, and I really liked the idea.

Another idea we had was to make light of communication that people used to play around with. This idea was to create the "can-phones", where you take coffee cans and attach string to from one to the other and talk into the cans.  We're going to have a long shot of the string going from one can to the other can, showing the person talking on each end.  We're going to make the string really long, and show it as if we're talking far away from each other.
